Mods for Prairie, not neccesarily 650
#1
I dont mean to get post happy, (this forum is awesome, BTW) but i consider myself fairly mechanically inclined in the Auto mechanics, but not for ATVs and was wondering what the most important mods are (besides tires, already got that) ANYTHING you have to say would be appreciated!

The obvious and most easiest to do is the muffler, jets, intake and air cleaner. The most will come from your muffler you can try Nyroc's solution wich I must say works very well and extremely inexspensive. Just like automotives you have to get the air in and move it out period. This will gain you a minimum of 10% horsepower wich is substantial the only other addition is larger bore, piston and cams. Try the easier road first. Just dig in give it a shot there is lots of help here on the forum if you have troubles.

JEO-- Do check out nyroc's 650 site. Very well done. He is a great contributor here.
IMO-- The Progressive spring kit, with preload adjusters would be a good choice of mods. I want to do it, too, but my wallet needs to refill before I can.

Jeo,
Go for the snorkel, it's cheap and you'll get excellent air flow with the muffler mod (NYROC'S) and K&N filter.
