Still just breaking in my 02 650 but I was wondering how many
miles most guys are getting out of the stock Dunlops, I realize it
greatly dependent on what kind of surface one does most of his riding.
I cant wait to replace them they really are crappy for such a fine
beast. So how long before they need to be replaced?

Disgustingly they last a lot longer than you would want them to.
520 miles on mine and the rears are only half gone and the fronts look like they will go until the machine completly wears out.
Still gonna put Bear Claws on before the snow flies.

Maxemuse, they actually need to be replaced before the tread depth gets low.

Mine lasted 125 miles before I decided they had to go...Life is much better in the 6 ply to 8 ply arena trust me and the ride as far as I can tell after about 2 will not mbe missed...
I have gators however a lot of people like the bear claws or 589s
