kawirob, gave me a new apreation for the kawi P650. But I guess I just need some more reassurance on how well it climbs up VERY steep hills. Not a strate cliff but something that will be pushing the limits of your sealf and your atv. One more thing on a polaris if you try to hual 2 people you will drag on a pot hole is the parairie like that or is it more firm. (can you carrie 2 people on it with out draging)?

I've carried 2-200lbs people plus75-100 pounds of gear with out a problem. they have strait axles that don't let that happen that is why for towing with a vehicle a straght axle is better than a independent rear!

the long 650 wheelbase helps too,
the low 650 center of gravity helps too (it is extremely low),
the low handlebar and lack of and enormous gas tank hump (660) help you get your body weight as far forward as possible.

This is probably THE BEST ATV for climing for these reasons.

Many quads will bog out on super steep hills...The prairie on-the-other-hand will maintains rocketing power until ya flip over backwards like I did.

We've got some really big hills hear in Utah, and never once have I had a problem going up them. My problem has always come when I turn around and see what I just come up. With out fail, I think, How the He11 did I get up that, and better yet how the He11 am I going to get back down.
My problem is always the trip back down, without killing myself. Going up hill the 650 just gets you in trouble, because it climbs anything you ask it to and sometimes you've got to come back down that same hill!

It will climb steep hills I found that out this weekend one hill was so steep I could lean any farther forward and the front wheel started to lift. I just made it I was getting a little nervus (SP) though I was going to have to call insurance company but the 650 did it. yee haa

dextreme,

The P650 is as stable as they get for a big utility quad!

Tommyboy84 The 650 is probably the most stable quads for up hill climbing out there. The bike is slightly front heavy witch is good for climbing. I ride to place called Grizzly Ridge where there is ranger tower, just before the tower there is steep hill with 2ft verticle face. With the 650 I can hit the face with some speed compress the front suspension and the bike will sort of bounce up the face with the suspension collapsed. The suspension will spring out at the top of the face hit the lock up and the front diff digs in and pulls her up. This is the only bike I have had the confidence in to do such a stunt.

For going down hill with the EBS it works well enough it almost wants to stall. You don't have to fight this bike like some other brands.
