Because of where the snorkel for the air box is located you would be likely to have a problem with the air box filling up with water and killing the engine. I guess if you had forward momentum (remember - momentum is your friend) the snorkel might some how not fill up with water. If you fill your air box with water on any bike you're f**&ed. I do my best to not get in those situations. Just old age I guess.

The bike has limitations and as long as you respect them, that goes for any machine use it for what it was meant and I am sure you wont have any problems. If you wanted a submarine try your local army and surplus store you might find something reasonable.

Myself and a friend have dunked ours up to the headlights and not had any problems.

The only thing is KEEP GOING, 'cause if you stop the belt drive will take on water.

Then comes the fun of trying to get it out.
Can you say winch.

We'll do it KOD!

Tommyboy, I've never crossed deep water slow enough to know how deep it really is. My safety glasses are usually covered in mud and water and the wake distorts the true depth. But yes I have had water run over the top of my "tank" but if it was wake or depth I couldn't tell you.

Do you have to be stopped to shift in to 4wd? also does it kick off when you reach a serten speed, can you still go fast with the diff lock on like when your getting a run for a hill?

Tommyboy, here's the scoop on the 650.

1. It will climb anything you point it at. There is one thing you have to consider-----gravity. Any quad will climb a hill, this one just does it better than any of them due to it's extreme power.

2. It's not a submarine. It will cross water up to the headlights, but that's about it. If you want to go through deeper water, snorkel it.

3. It's got the most power of any 4x4 quad out there. Period.

4. You gotta be under 20kmh to put it in 4wd (that's what is in the book.) The same for taking it out of 4wd.

5. The 4wd stays engaged no matter what speed you are in. It doesn't care if you are doing 9kmh or 90kmh.

6. The front diff will stay locked as long as you hang on to the lever.

7. Go buy one.
