Hey guys yesterday I out riding my 360 on some trails out behind my house...I came up on this new trail somebody else had made so followed it for about a mile or so when I came across a BIG tree that had fallen down...I saw were some other guys had been riding through the briars to go around it...I was like screw that!!!! So backed up flipped the switch and pulled forward and 4wd kicked in I crawled up onto the tree and the 360 got kind of high centered so I locked the front Diffs and rocked it forward and the front tires grabbed and pulled it right on over....4WD is nice LOL Then I stopped and switched back to 2wd and kept on riding down the trail till it came to a dead end so i went back to the tree that I crossed and flipped the 4wd switch but nothing would happen??? I tried pulling forward and backing up and all and it just wouldn't go into 4WD no light or anything?? Good thing is it's still under warranty so I'm going to take it back this week and get it fixed...I was just wondering if any of you guys with 650's have had the same problem since both drivetrains are pretty much the same...Thanks for the help sorry for the long story but I had to explain the situation LOL

 

I haven't had anything like that happen, but I can't wait to find a tree like that. Sounds totally awesome.
I will let you know if my next tree crawling experience results in the same thing.

 

It was awesome!!!! 4WD makes ya do some pretty cocky and sometimes stupid things.....well stupid on any other ATV's but not Kawi's.

 

GRRRRRRRRR why in the world are Most motorcycle shops closed on MONDAYS??!?!?!?!

 

Today was a holiday.

 

LOL yeah i know but I called them anyways and they are closed on Sunday's and Monday's I think cause alot of the guys race on Sundays and need Monday to recoupe LOL

 

That makes sense too. Racing's not a big thing here so I didn't think of that.

BTW, have you tried turning on the 4x4 waiting a second, pulling forwar a couple of feet then waiting a seconf, then backing up a little and waiting? From what I understand about the Kawi's front end when the motor attempts to engage the front differential if the splines don't line up it will disengage for a few seconds then make another attempt, it will repeat this until it manages to engage, thus the reason that you sometimes ahve to be crawling forward for the front end to hook up.

 

I've tried everything I can think of man...it's kind of agrivating ya know? I might give it another shot tomorow nite just to make sure it really doesn't work before I haul it to richmond LOL thanks for your help!

 

With my 360, I have to push the button and pull forward about 5 feet before it will engage the 4wd. But, once it is engaged it is awesome. I packed out my 6x7 bull elk with it yesterday and had no problems. At one point I had half the elk, the head and rack, myself and 2 other guys on the atv for about 3 miles down an old logging road. This is a powerfull engine for only being a 360.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

Indeed this is a very powerful motor and the 4WD system is awesome! I've been in, over, and up stuff that other guys on non-kawi quads wouldn't even attempt! I talked to the guy at the dealership today and I'm taking it down there Thursday...I'm hoping it's only something simply that he can fix quick cause I'm looking forward to riding it over the weekend!
