In the Kawi forum, most are going to recommend the kawi over the honda. But it really depends if you are talking new/used and price range. Also fast is a relative thing....do you want fast acceleration or fast top end?

one correction:
speed = tecate

stock vs. stock it's not close, the kawi wins hands down. I have ridden a few 250r's and none could hang with my tecate in a drag race. The 250R handles much better and has that great Honda geometry that makes it the better choice for most applications, but speed is not one.

Find and buy either one in really good shape and you'll be a happy camper.
