I just picked up a pretty clean 1988 tecate 4. Where are good places to get parts? I want a new exhaust? Any ideas??? What do i need to look for , or stay away from. Thanks, I am excited.

I know that fmf made a pipe i don't know if they still do. I know that lrd makes a pipe. La sleeve makes a 300 kit that makes them realy fast. There is this company that makes lots of parts for those bikes i forgot the name though. I heard that if you update your powervalve to a kx powervalve it will make your bike faster.

 

FMF still makes a pipe. I got mine from motojoe.com. Parts are pretty hard to come by. Best bet is to check ebay and any atv classifieds you can find. Got any pics?

I love the Tecate4&3. They were the best looking quads/atc's out thier in there day.

hint: save the tecate 250 engine. And put in a new KX500 engine[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

Man, i was going to resell it. Now i am going to make a monster out of it. It is a sweet ride. I have ridden 250r's and it is not much different. I know a 250r is better but for me i would rather have a hotter motor. It has new work shocks with rezzies on front and works rear. The DG steel nerfs sux though. I want a new front bumper and rear grab. I am not fond of the white painted wheels. I will work on those. Throw me some ideas
