I saw a K&N filter at my dealer today for $55.00. The box says that it increases horsepower, but doesn't give a percentage. Is there a noticeable difference the first time you take it out after switching over?

I would like a reasonably priced helmet to protect my noggin'. I really don't know anything about them--any suggestions?
