Drive shives worn
Has anyone found that there drive shives have a groove worn close to the bottem on there 650? How can this be avoided and what can I do to fix this? Is it a warranty thing or should I just polish them up and set belt defection on a regular basis? I only have 700 kms and 100 hrs in 3 months on this machine and it seems to me the shives should not show signs of wear yet.

That is what they do. They don't really need replacing unless the groove is big enouogh to make the takeoff jerky.
Dust makes it worse. Diamond G is working on a filter system that greatly reduces sheave grooving.
A loose belt is very bad for this. Keep it tight, and use the black spring.
A glazed belt is bad too.
Using high range when you could be using low increases the grooving too.
