Default wheel spacers

I do not recomend wheel spacers at all. My friend has a 250ex and put on 2.4 inch spaces on each side. He had to fit between 2 gates that the tires hit a little and..... POP, bent axle. the wheel spacers give a lot of leverage to the axle. My friend is stupid though. He had stock tires and got new 12.5 wide bear claws. He didn't take off the wheel spacers. Now the axle is gonna bend so easily. He had to wait a month and a half for a new axle. So i DON'T recomend wheel spacers.

well first of all your friend is a moron for running into a gate and second i know alot of people with wheel spacers on thier quads and they haven't had any problems. i didn't ask if you recomended them i aske d how to put them on since i already have them. i have already got the old studs out though all it took was an impact gun.

I've heard of many people using them as well with no problems. I have heard that you will run into problems if you are catching big air, however. There are several people on this site using them and haven't had any problems. A few are on Raptor's, too. Not to mention 2.5" on each side is quite a bit and I could see where that may cause a lot of extra stress on the axle. 5" total! That's quite a bit. For that kind of width expansion I would highly recommend a different axle, but most common are 1-1 1/2" on each side.
