Nyroc - post everyone's jetting on your web-site
#1
How about this for an idea? What if everyone posted their carb jetting settings and respective engine mods? Then, if Nyroc is willing, he could post the list on his web site for future reference. This could help people just beginning to try mods and rejetting and might give some ideas to guys that have been at it for awhile but are still having tuning problems. The 650 comes from the factory with the same jetting on all machines; it would stand to reason that machines with similar mods should be able to run similar jetting.

That would be useful info, nova. The jet settings and mods are only valuable if we know the altitude aslo.
If enough people give us a listing I will post it.
Ridered, that really must have hurt (flame throwing shown in icon).

Someone post what they have riding at 5,000'+. You guys have it so easy, I ride from 5,000'-13,000', on the same day! sometimes. I bought mine used and it was jetted for our altitude. I have no idea what the jetting is, but once I decide to break into it, I will let you all know. It runs fine now, so no real hurry.

Ok, I have mine, Stakk's and Novakaw's data. It does not appear that many more people are interested. Post some data people.
I placed the data in the jetting file, here.
I can easily add more, but I won't go hunting signatures for it. Typing it up in the following format saves me time:
Stakk - 1600ft, 132F 136R, 4th notch, 3.5 and 3.75 turns, 5 Uni-vents, Supertrapp IDS-X (10 disks), Twin Air filter

Why not what the heck ( Jets are Kawi jets) (modded muffler, modded intake, bored carbs)
2200ft 138fr, 142r dial jet at centre with snorkle and one vent open Twin air filter.
5000ft 138fr,142r dial jet at one notch below centre with snorkle, one vent open, Twin air filter.
9000ft 138fr, 142r dial jet at one nothc below centre with snorkle, all four vents open, Twin air filter.
WITHOUT DIAL A JETS ( Jets are kawi jets)( modded muffler, modded intake, bored carbs)
2200ft 142fr,145r with snorkle, Twin air filter, two vents open.
5000ft 142fr, 145r with snorkle, Twin air filter, three vents open.
9000ft 138fr, 145r with snorkle, Twin air filter, four vents open.
Scooter this is not to say this will work for your bike after all my modds this works well for me. You will find the bike is shipped on the rich side, riding at 5000ft will lean your bike out so it might be just right. The only sure way is to do a spark plug test this will get you in the ball park. Having fun is the main thing do lots of riding that's what counts.
