quad for wife
#1
I need to get a new quad for my wife. It must be IRS, light steering, auto, 4x4 lock. Plus she doesn't like tooooo much power and high seating. Now.....I think, there's nothing on the market available for her.
Polaris 400, 500, grizz doesn't apply. All I can think of, is a new Bomb. Highlander/?/??????,but I still do not know , how good is Bomb. 4x4 design, some people say good, some say no good.
I wish she liked my Grizz., but she says it's too agile and too high and too unstable.............should I divorce her?lol
Any idea????
Thanks ,
Joe

I have been waiting for the perfect machine myself. I had a 2003 Prairie 360, had all those options except the IRS. Was great, but felt like I was sitting in the clouds. A little tippy, as well. Was a lemon, though. Terrible things wrong with it all the time. Now I feel there is nothing out there for me. Right now I have to ride our '02 Rancher and what I love about it is that it's not too big, it sits low to the ground, very stable on four wheels, and just the right amount of power. I wouldn't recommend this model (b/c it's all-time 4wd & ES), but there is the new Rancher AT coming out in the spring that is selectable 2x4-4x4, automatic, 400cc, electric dash, also has Electric Shift if you choose to use it, has a better look than the other Rancher models and will be priced at about $5500 or so. Doesn't have the IRS. I've never had a problem without it, it's nice but not really a necessity. Doesn't have the diff lock, but our '02 Rancher has always done just as good as the others that had the diff lock. Here's the site if you want to copy and paste it to see it:

I have been looking for all the options your wife has been, and this is so far the only thing I have come up with. DO NOT go for the P360, that's for sure. The options are great, but they need to fine tune that one first. The Kodiak is nice, too.

The Outlander is definately worth a look see only 450lbs. IRS, belt drive. Rotax engine second to none with respect to durablilty and performance known all over the world for its dependability. I am waiting to have a look at this quad Polaris, Arctic Cat, Honda, Yammy are either priced way out to lunch and or the dependablity is not there at least they are worth a look. The demos hit the stores untill late November or early December good luck on your choice.

Thanks all of you for your help.
Currently, she has 01 Polaris 325 Magnum4x4....... ,IRS is a must.I wouldn't replace the bike,it runs great and it is everything she wanted and needed. Light steering, Polaris on demand 4x4 system, good mudder, very reliable, great machine. BUT, she doesn't want to ride more then 4 hours due to a back pain......
So, I decided/she is against it/,she'll get a new quad, with IRS, no more excuses.
Outlander is the only Quad on a market right now for her. I'd love Yamaha Kodiak IRS, Suzuki or anythig automatic smaller bore/Suzuki has 300 cc with IRS,I rode it excellent everything, no auto ,though.

OK, just a thought. Suzuki King Quad. Last made in 2002. Has all the features you want except auto tranny. I'm thinking if she has a bad back she's not into much jumping and high speed running so even though it is utility all the way it might work.

If she is used to a polaris she would like the Arctic cat 500I. It got decent power great ride and its IRS. It also has the same seat height as her 335. Best thing to do is take her out and let her ride some different ones. I am doing the same thing with my fiance. She likes my prairie 650 the best so far. But then mine is a speed and power freek like me.
