Default Extended Warranty -- Worth it or not??

I am wondering if the extended warranty is worth the price. Have any of you had experiences were you needed the extended warranty? Did you have trouble getting Kawasaki to honor it?

I am curious about that as well...I just bought a Prarie 650 this past weekend and got the 48 month extended warranty. I thought it would be worth the price for the help with re-sale value alone. Just my inexperienced opinion though.....

Do a search in the forum - this is well covered. There's a lot of new technology in the 650, it might be worth it. Try to bargain with your dealer, most are giving a better price on the extended warranty. The one annoying thing NOT covered is the belt and clutches. Do a search in the forum regarding "belts" or "clutches" for some helpful hints.

You can do what ever you want, but I have never purchased an extended warranty and never will.

Put the money aside that you would spend on the warranty and use that if you have problems after the expiration.

There is a lot of gray area when paying out meaning the term abuse and what that means to the manufacture.

Personally I recommend at least getting ATV Insurance. Most of things that will occur will most likely be self inflicted, which the extended warr may not cover.
