Scary thought on 700 V-Force drive belts

Kawasaki makes a lighter weight for the 650 as part of there high altitude package. I don't know how much lighter it is. I asked my dealer how much for the weights and he said $60 Canadian each!!! I asked if that included a free B. job and table dance with each one but he didn't get it.

Yes thats right.
You might want to ask what the weight difference is to stock. The kit has a spring shim for the primary clutch as well I think. I wasn't really paying attention to the parts guy as I only wanted the weights. That is until he tryed to hose me for my beer money.

Shotgun, Montess
I used Chrome Molly for my weigths as the material is next to the grade of the original it comes in at slightly less weight for same size. Plus I drilled holes in the length so as to add weight if need be. I milled the edge at 0.01 milemetres at a time till I got the same weights all the way through. Oh yes I had to use carbide drill bits to drill the holes they were almost the same price as the steel ouch. I was lucky because at 46 grams this works perfectly for my 28in Outlaws at 2200ft.
Oshawa have you any snow yet I'll bet your 1000cc rocket sled is itching to get out the door. You must be watching for the infamous snow flake to hit your window sil then it's see ya later babe I'm on my motorized toboggan.

Hey Alltoys good to here from you.
My rocket toboggan is a mere 700 triple but is by no means stock ( imagine that ). No snow to speak of yet but the frost has set in about a foot ,so when we do get snow it should stay.
The nice thing about the sled is that it has adjustable weights in the clutch. So when I do any changes I can dial it back in with the weights. Like when I studed the track, my rpm's droped from 8200 ( peak horsepower) to 7800 but with a turn of a screwdriver I'm back to 8200. It would be so sweet if there was an adjustable weight set for the 650. I Think Shotgun is right about reclutching after the new cdi is installed.

p.s. Hey Alltoys it looks to me like you got alot of snow there. You know you should always wear eye protection when operating a "snow plower". lmao.
