Default sold p650

I loved my P650. Lets be sure to get that part out there. The quad is not ready for a motocross rider to ride the $h!t out of it, at least the P.O.S. I had. (recap) First, the belt slipping. Second, the actuator on the 4wd. Third, the actuator on the belt housing. Three strikes & you are out. I have trusted Kawasaki's for years & they have been my first choice. In '01 I bought a Honda CR because I felt it was made better than a KX. Honda might not have a quad as fast as a P650, but I was so much faster than all my friends when I was on the P650, I would be riding by myself. I ride hard & I had a P300 before & still outran most people in the woods. I feel I was just as fast, where I ride, on the P300. You can only go as fast as the trail & your b@ll$ will let you. The simple fact is, IMO, Honda is the best on earth.

2fat4moto--- Indeed, you appear to have had a bad experience with your P-650. Guess there are a few "lemons" in every batch. My exoerience with the Prairie has been the exact opposite. The bike has been VERY reliable. I do not pamper my machines, nor do I abuse them. I have 1400 miles on mine: 1 belt adjustment, 1 set front pads. I am NOT being a wise-@ss, when I say, sorry about your luck.

thanks, I was lucky, I got 5600 for it. I am going to miss it. I don't think I will replace it yet, I am going to wait & make sure the Rincon is worth the money or they come off the price. I know it is nothing like the P650, but I have heard it is an awesome machine! I do hope you continue to have good luck, as for me, I am done with Kawasaki! I will keep my ZRX due to the fact it is reliable & extremely fast. It was slow when I bought it, but $3000 dollars later it is one of the fastest street legal bikes around for the $10000 I have invested in it. Kawasaki has some of the best engines made, but there is just too much that can go wrong on a P650, & for me it did!

2fat4------ You really DID get a good price out of your P-650! I can buy a new '03 for $6100.00 OUT THE DOOR(plus any taxes)! I almost totalled mine in Oct.($4600 damage), and did some research on it's value, just in case the insurance co. tried to screw me! Mine is good as new, new frame and all! Rolled mine 7-10 times down a mountain.
Good luck with Honda. They are a great machine. I've owned many.

2Fat,

keep us informed about your next quad (no matter what it is). I sure would look at the Grizzly before you get a rincon. The latest Dirt Wheels didn't say anything good about the Rincon.

To bad you live far from me I would have helped you out with your 650 you could have brought it to my toy shop and we could have made up some parts that would last. I remember you haveing priblems in the past and I thought you had them worked out. I would have traded you for awhile, you could have had my quad and I would have banged around on your machine maybe even get some more pony's out of it. I like Honda for the fact they are durable, that is there big selling point almost like timex LOL. Not sure if I would go for a Rincon I rode one a month ago and I was not impressed. A lot of money for a name and they did some stupid stuff anyway that's here nor there. I hope you pop in to the kawasaki site from time to time wouldn't want to lose your kinship!!!

Well, Yamaha struck out with me in '85 and my older brother in '89. I know they have come a long way since then, but once I have given up on a manufacturer, well, it will take a lot to bring me back. As for the Rincon, it will be a while before I make the decision to replace the P650. We just bought my wife a new Infiniti G35 sport coupe, so we are spending our weekends in it!
