Suzukis version of P650??

I have a 85 magna V45 the valves tap a little but I was told that is normal for them. I tried to ajust the valves but they are right on when I check them. Geuss I will live with it.

Yes to big bore I definately like to see some more rpm's attached to very same big bore like 12,000 instead of a meager 6000

Hello guys.
Suzuki makes some serious motors. We are looking into putting a Hayabusa motor in a modded pulling bike, it is the quickest bike in the world, makes 175 hp @ 9800 rpm's, STOCK! It's is capatible of 9 seconds quarter miles and 200 mph top speed. We were thinking of putting Rajay f40 tubro's, and bumping it up to 250-300 hp. I understand the motor has produced as much as 500 hp with a tubro.
I wanted to just show up with it one day at 4strokewars, I didn't know they had to be OEM motors, in the OPEN class, I though just 4 strokes, Oh well.
Anyway they are capatible of putting some serious horse power in a Atv, the power to weight ratio of the Hayabusa is 3.16 pound/hp. imagine if they did that.
Have a good Christmas!

I remember us talking about the old bikes before brings back fond memories. Some of the old stuff is hard to beat the sound of the V4 is unmistakeable. My Munchkins are doing farely well I would like to have them all well especially for the holidays thanks for mentioning them.
Shotgun
That sounds like an awsome pulling machine, are you sure you don't need a titanium axle to put the power to the ground LOL!!
200Mojave
Have you ever gone to the drags, watched the bike drags and seen the Harleys with their belt system holding down all that horsepower. There is a manufacturer somewhere in the US that mounts a chevy 350 sideways in a Harley frome and they use a belt or drive shaft your choice to drive the behemoth. Take care gentlemen have fun.

mojave,
here is the link to the Boss Hoss Cycles either a 350 or a 502, v8, 2 speed auto, and belt drive (gates poly chain)..pretty wild for sure, but it may be a little hot to ride..souldn't be a problem about torque though..I took a ride on the royal star last night..full moon, about 60 degrees..it was nice..the best part of my hectic day.
I hadn't ridden in about a month or so, so I really enjoyed hearing the v 4 sing to me..(yep..most of it was in 3rd gear..) it put a smile on my face for sure.
shotgun,
a 'busa in a quad would be pretty radical to say the least. suzuki has a real good showing in the drag racing scene, or at least it looks like that when I watch the bikes run.
Monte,
as far as the magna valves,,I don't know about that. but the way I figure is this, on the v star 650 (v twin) if they tap a little, I know I won't burn a valve..not so it they are tight. the royal star uses bucket & shim for the valve train, adjustment is every 26K miles.
alltoys,
yep some of the old stuff was pretty good, especially the 500 cc triple 2 stroke kawasaki. but it is a dinasaur compared to what is available today. one of the best things to happen to motorcycles IMHO was the japaneese competing with the american manufactures, and going into the v twin cruiser market. it made ALL the bikes so much better, and was good for consumers.
competition is good. we all win.

Surveyor " A-men to compition among the manufactures"
I think we talked a time ago about the Kawasaki 2 stroke bikes you gave me the history of the 2 strokes and I used to have a 750 2 stroke triple. That was an awesome bike, no fuel mileage but you could get to where you were going in a hurry LOL. Great talking with you again!!

nova,
yep, the handling was terrible, but straight line performance was impressive..honda cbx was another good dinosaur .inline 6 1000 cc or so.. but they really have come a long way..a lot of good choices out there now..probally something like a r6, gsxr, would really turn some heads in the atv world, and show what "performance- really means" have a happy holiday..
