It had to have engine mods done to it. Theres no way that it out ran Hi performance bikes with the limited power that thing has. It looks like they ran the stock tires on it. Realy suprized they didnt get any flats. The shocks didnt look stock either. They were white and silver. Its hard to beleive but i know how a modded ute does against sport quads, Especialy thru the rough stuff. So i know its possible if the power was increased substantialy on the rinny

mc...have you ridden a rincon yet? I to was surprised by the rincon performance, but the fact that they finished 1 and 3 proves this isn't a fluke...this machine is awesome and I wonder if it is simply better for the race...would like to see how a v-twin would do

I read over on the Honda forum that the front differential was completely removed and it ran in 2X4 mode. I think if someone was to put that much time and $ into a Prairie, Kawasaki would have taken win, place and show! Wait til next year to see if someone runs the 700 in it.

There is a picture of the Rincon on the front page of this website. Looks stock on the outside, stock tires, suspension, and everything, even the same exhaust. Maybe they did something to the motor, I dont know.

don't take this the wrong way but they said it avg. speed was something like 56mph for the race in sand how fast will a stock rincon go?could be wrong but you about have to believe they done some mods while i have ran against some grizzly's and polaris's i have not had the chance to check one of those rincons out yet,but as a rule honda well not put the gear under their atv's to run much on top end (4x4).this is not a slam against honda just something i have noticed over the years one of my riding buddies had a foreman 450 and i could start out in 3rd gear and not bother with 1st and second and i'm 6'3" and weigh 287. just my 2 cents
