Whats the best way to carry extra gas?
#21
after thinking about it, I went for it. Ordered the fuel pack from cabela's. Hope I will be able to mount it on the front rack and not be disappointed. Thanks for all the advice.

How do you vent them when the pressure gets high, like a gas can when you open the little cap and the fumes come out?
The flat pack has three holes through the middle which also act as support pieces to give it strength and help keep it's shape. Even so, it will expand a bit when it gets warm and/or shaken. Not enough to worry about but it will get just a little rounded. There is a pour/fill cap and a vent petcock. You can always open the vent to bleed out any excess pressure but we have never had to do this.

thanks for the reply. HAPPPPPY NEW YEAAAAAAAAAAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not sure what the vent petcock is, could you explain that? Have you tried or does the pack mount on the front rack? Thanks

Lightman-- The tank vent is simply a valve/petcockthat allows air in, so there is no vacuum formed in the fuel-pak. It dispenses fuel quicker when vented, that's all.. If you have ever drained a car radiator, most likely you have opened/closed a petcock-type valve.
