The top speed of the Mojave is a little faster than the Blaster. Good luck on buying your new quad. P.S. Go with the Mojave!

4 Wheel Action clocked the Mojave at 52mph, the blaster at 54. Keep in mind though, top speed is just a small part of an ATV. Handling, ridability and looks are also important. Since you posted this in a Kawasaki Forum, ya know I'm going to tell you to go with the Mojave! I've owned two of them. I just bought a Y2K model. It is easy to ride, handles great, has lots of low end grunt (perfect for trail riding), and is plenty fast.

If you buy the KSF250, I don't think you'll come home after a day of riding saying you did not have fun. I know I never do!!!

Get the Blaster. The brakes are the only bad thing about the quad and I have yet to have a problem with them. The Blaster will easily out jump and wheelie and out anything the Mojave. The accleration on the Blaster is much better. Also any engine modification that you do on a Blaster or any 2-stroke for that matter with greatly improve power and not just make the machine louder like that you would run into on a 4-stroke. Another thing is if the Mojave is so great why don't you see more of them? When I was at the Cochranton I did not see one Mojave, but I saw numerous Blasters and 300ex's. If you want a good 4-stroke and reverse pay another $700 and get a 300ex it is well worth the money. My friend has one and it would easily kill a Mojave. Also with the money you saved by buying a Blaster you could immediately modify it.

BlueBlaster you are making several gratuitous statements I must respond to.

First of all, you say a Blaster will "out anything the Mojave". You are making a extremely broad statement here. For one thing Blasters don't have the low end grunt of a four stroke. Jumping, the Blaster has edge since it's lighter. Wheeling, rider skill plays a big part in that. I've never wheelied a Blaster, but I can EASLY pull up the front end on my Mojave. It's a matter of knowing where the balance point is and being skilled enought to hold it without dumping backwords. Look at what some test riders can do with the big utility bikes!

Your engine mod statement, again too broad and misleading to be taken seriously. What engine mods? Yes, a pipe does not produce as much of an increase in HP on a 4-stroke as on a 2-stroke, but thats where it ends. What about boring, air intake, porting and polishing, cams, gearing? Are you saying they have no effect on a 4-stroke?

"If the Mojave is so great, why don't you see more of them?" Well I see a lot of them! I ride the Cross Country Trails here in Michigan and there are quite common. As are the 300EX's and Warriors and Blasters.

"My friend has a 300EX and it would easly kill a Mojave" Come on, read the test data. Those bikes are very close on speed and handling. Easily? No, Possible? Yes. Again RIDER SKILL.

Have you ever rode a Mojave? My guess is you haven't. I've ridden a Blaster and while it was a decent bike I found it's not for me. There are differences between the bikes but to say that the Blaster will "out anything the Mojave" is dead nuts WRONG!

BlueBlaster Also why does Kawasaki sell out of the Mojave? Does Yamaha sell out of the Blaster? I can buy a used Blaster all day long. I can't even find a used Mojave! Rider skill effects all the things you said the Mojave lacks. Try ut a Mojave, you'll sell your Blaster to buy one!
