Default Get a real ATV

When I bought my Mojave my friend had a 300EX, and it was always a dead race of who made it off the line or who had a better turn around (end of the field and back). My friend that always had to be better couldn't stand this and traded in the 300EX that he hadn't even had for six months for a 400EX. Now I didn't have the top end to keep up. Liking my Mojave I wouldn't consider getting something else. After the 400EX purchase he kept telling me to "Get a real ATV", and then would joke about how Kawasaki didn't have a sport quad. This is what I heard about for months. After the 400 came out I then could use that against him. Now with the 700 out he won't say a word. The last time I talked to him about this he mentioned that he had dropped his 400EX off and is having the 440 kit installed. Although I have the 250 its more of a brand issue since he wants to stay with his Honda without reverse.

Its all what you use the quad for. When we go to the track he will win, but when we get in the wooded trails I have the advantage especially with reverse.

Sprout,
I have a friend in the Columbia area who just got a kfx400. I never rode with him yet but he kinda told me the same deal....to get a real Quad. Mine suits me fine and is a blast when I can get on it. I wonder if you guys have ever ran into each other out there. His last name is Curtis....ring a bell?

No I can't say that I do, but there's always a chance of running into him if he rides at Finger Lakes.

Talked to him last night. He said he just got done riding @ about 9pm there. He said he went to a gravel pit & @ 16 deg the water was about 4 inches. So basically a nice skating rink to whip-it all which ways. He said his quad is the kfx400 same as the new Suzzi qs400. I was Amazed when he told me he had to let it warm up for awhile, like mine it's cold natured. I have to adj my carb...I know. I'll ask him about Finger. I'm sure going to take my quad over there this summer for some fun and to try to show him up. I think all quads are great just some are more insane than others.

Ah, LoL I thought the thread was about a sweepstakes for a Kawasaki ATV. Have any of you seen or played ATV Offroad Fury 2? The game is sweet... I went to the website this week and saw that they're holding a contest where the prize is a Kawasaki ATV "One (1) grand prizewinner will win a Kawasaki ATV model KFX 700 (approximate retail value of $6,499)." I entered already and even though my chances are slim, It'd be cool if I won. Either way, i'm gonna save up a little more to get an ATV by summer-time.

Its common for even older folks to talk down to something that works as well if not better when they know they paid a lot more than you.
