Default Highlifter lite or c-series??

Decided on some 26 mudlites for the sticky stuff, now need to pick wheels. I want the silver not chrome, but wheel vs wheel what do ppl think? They dont list the exact weight, but stain free and the strength of the steel are interesting. Also looks like they offer centercaps.

Default Highlifter lite or c-series??

also, how do C-series affect the handling of the quad? Stock rim size is 12x6F and 12x7.5R.....how does having 12x7 all the way around affect cornering etc?

Thanks,
Dave

Good luck with the mud stains that you will have on the C-series. I got rid of mine because I didnt want to spend 30 min per wheel cleaning. Im going to go with the 7lb Douglas Red label.

I like the "C"s. They have a 1" POS offset on both frt. and rr. SO that gives you 2" wider track on the P-650. Very handy on off camber, greasey hillsides! The track width is STILL under the 50" limit that is imposed at some areas. Mine is 48 1/2" width the 26"X12"x12" rad. Outlaws. They are very strong. I have tested mine any # of times! Yes, they DO mud stain. You could keep'em waxed, OR, ignore it like me! I very much recommend them, and will buy them again, if need be.

I had ITP wheels, and did not like the spacing. I don't like extra width in front, and what it does to steering. I have paths that have been taken by many atv's before me, and I would get stuck between trees. Steering was harder too.

I also didn't like how 8" wide tires fit the ITP 7" wide wheel in front, and the way 12" wide tires fit the 7" wide wheel in back. The rim poked out too far in front, and was sucked in too far in rear. It was goofy.

So, I sold em and got douglas wheels (alum, solid plate). 6" wide fronts and 8" wide rears with stock spacing. I am very happy with them. They don't look as neat as ITP C-series, but I didn't buy my 650 for looks. I haven't gotten a stain yet. Luv my douglass wheels.

Hmmmmm, never noticed the harder steering. Maybe it has to do with the 12 ounce curls I do after the ride!!!!!!

I noticed the steering difference with different spacing more with my 28" tires.

I also noticed the decreased stability with the stock offsets, which is more pronouced with the 28" tires. I learned to move my fanny more to compensate fot it when cornering and driving off camber.

Nyroc:

Has anything changed with these new rims? What I mean is, I know the C-Series had an offset and you didn't need spacers for your 28" tires with them. How are they now...do your 28's rub? need wheel spacers?

Just wondering....do you have 2 sets of rims or are you changing out the rubber on the douglas?

thanks master

Parker

I have 2 sets, the other set is 26" mudrunners on stock wheels. The 28" zillas are only 10" ones, but they aren't even close to rubbing the tank. 12" wide ones would be fine. Only the outlaw would hit the tank, as far as I know.

Tha's another thing, my front 28" mudzillas rub the outside corner of the headlight with ITP spacing, but not at all with stock spacing.

is there a way to have the c-series clear-coated or something to avoid the staining etc? They do look pretty sweet!

Nyroc do you think this turning problem and funky sizing would be as noticeable with the 26" mudlites i'd be putting on, compared to the 28's you had on c-series?
