Was checking out some mud tires to see the different weights and thought I would let you guys know the different weigths of the most popular mud tires. The weights I have listed are for 26" tires

Titan 589 M/T----------------------26X9X12 29lbs
26X12X12 34lbs
Titan 589 M/S----------------------26X9X12 27lbs
26X12X12 32lbs
Super Swamper Vampires-------26X9.5X12 27lbs
26X12X12 34lbs
Mud Machine Bi-Claws-----------26X9X12 25lbs
26X11X12 27lbs
GBC Gators-------------------------26X10X12 25lbs
26X12X12 31lbs
GBC Dirt Devils--------------------26X10X12 27lbs
26X12X12 31lbs
Maxxis Mud Bugs-----------------26X10X12 28lbs
26X12X12 29lbs
Mudzillas---------------------------26X9X12 32lbs
26X12X12 35lbs
Kenda Bear Claws---------------26X9X12 27lbs
26X12X12 35lbs
Outlaws----------------------------26X10X12 35lbs
26X12X12 38lbs
ITP Spider Traks------------------26X9.5X12 25lbs
26X12X12 28lbs
ITP 589 M/S-----------------------26X9X12 28lbs
26X12X12 33lbs
ITP Blackwaters------------------26X8X12 26lbs
26X12X12 30lbs

I got all these weights off the net from different sites so I don't know how accurate they are. If you are looking for mud tires, weight is an issue so these numbers might help a bit. Ride safe.

Those bearclaw weights are way off. I don't know why the listings for them are so bad. I emailed the manufacturer and the 26x9-12 is only 19lbs. Someone else that has them weighed them and said they were lots lighter than the internet listings.

Most of those other weights look like what I have seen online.

I got most of these weights off of Tee's Off Road (I think????) I checked a few other sites and found another weight for the Claws from Tires Unlimited. They say they weigh 24lbs and 34 lbs respectively. I don't know where they get their numbers from so I can't say how accurate they are. Nyroc, were those weights for 4 or 6 ply?

K.O.D., thanks for those figures. After I put on my 589s, I noticed a power loss and wished I had educated myself more on the amount tire weight would play. I love my 589s, but I think I'm going for a lighter tire next time.

Thats exactly why the 589s are not on the P650 anymore. The Kodiak is not a speed demon anyway and those tires better suit it and the riding I do on the Kodiak. The 27" 589s take all the sport out of the P650.

I tryed a set of 28in 589,s. I could not get them off soon enough. They made my sporty quad into lumbering pig. But I think in th 26in size they are OK.The Mudlites are great and lighter than them all but I still run ATR,s in the summer.

Even the 26s took the power. I guess the only thing to do is mod the crap out of it till I get all the power back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chaos, that is bloody brilliant!!!!!!!! She'll buy it hook, line, and sinker!!!!!!! You mind if I use that one?? You might want to try a couple of these tricks too, so you can save extra money for the CDI and other goodies.

1. I gotta buy some summer air for my tires.
2. Had to buy a gallon of halogen fluid for my headlights.
3. I blew my blower belt.
4. My heated grips are robbing too much power (Man, this is my new favorite!!!!!!!!!!!)
5. I have to buy gold laced brake fluid.
6. The platinum clutch springs are gonna cost me bigtime, sweetheart.

These are tried and true. Use at your own risk.
