I am getting a new quad, and will be riding in trails, and mud.Im 5ft 7in. and wiegh 207lbs.
I just read the article on the 700 and i think i will purchase that, but i want to see what other people think. Also what did you get out of the article? What do you think the KFXes top speed is?
And also, in the issue of dirtwheels with the bogus "High Performance Dune Shootout" they had the IMS/Roll Design KFX 700, they stated that they could get one to go over 100mph with a little modafication.I stheis true? All info is thanked.

If it was you Zoinnks what would you do?I hope this dont turn out to be a large bored scrambler.
I just hope there is no major recalls (remembering cannondale and raptor) so im really confused. With all of the new quads. Also the KFX is going to go fast from what my ealer says, but i dont know if he is just saying that to pressure me in buying one.

Unless you have one on order you'll have plenty of time to read reviews.from what i'm hearing most dealers are sold out. This is a limited and early release, the real release isnt til aug or sept when all the other 04s are released.I dont think you could go wrong with it,its a proven motor, trans and rear end,the only thing that is really new is the frame and kawie builds very sturdy frames.Top speed should be in the 70-80 range i'm sure they'll keep it in the low to mid 70s.Mine is paid for and on the way the dealer says feb 15,cant wait......later

Common sense says that this Quad sould have an extreemely LOW chance of having any MAJOR problems, even in it's first year. I'm sure that it will have a few LITTLE Quirks that bug some people and don't concern others.
The Drivetrain is all a proven technology, but Kawi didn't stop there, they improved on each of the existing components. That tells me that they have put a conciderable amount of time and thought into this project instead of just revamping a P650 which would have been a whole lot cheaper from their side of things.
A lot has been made about the weight of this machine. The fact is, that weight can be overcome by Torque and this machine is going to have Torque like no other Spot Quad on the market. With Mods, which you know are comming, this Quad should be more than a handfull. I agree, Kawi will limit the top speed of this quad. I would be suprised if it will do much more than 70 to 75mph from the factory.
Kawasaki is so confident in this machine, that they are putting their money where their mouth is in the way of "Dedicated technical support, plus contingency money for KFX700 V Force racers, making Kawasaki the first ATV manufacturer to offer such support in more than 15 years. A total of $117,000."
I would consider that Confidence.

Sporty
I rode a 700 last year and the machine is a lot of fun. It will do 70 without any problem and that is quick a 100 might be a little far fetched but hey who knows. I fell in love with the auto clutch you are always in the right gear no matter what the condition and it has reverse with low range what more can you want. Probably the most important part is the updated clutch and taller gearing. For a closer look take a Boo at the photos of the 700 at the Edmonton show on RPM's signature.
