KFX 700 Horsepower !
There should be lot's of room to gain Hp, just like in the p650, one place is compression, stock is only 50 PSI, I believe. Increase that to 140 PSI X 2 and see how it goes.
The torque is already there, everything I read on these posts a p650 will stay with or will beat any bike, up to about 40 Mph then the CDI retarts the timing by 28 dregrees or so and it falls of from there. We are working on clutch mods that should give more top speed. I believe the 700 will have an improved version of the p650 clutch, which is just a 4 weight Comet racing clutch.
A 700 that is 100 lbs lighter, bored out to an 800 or 850 with CDI work, head work, cams, dual exhaust, alky and a touch of nitrous, 75 hp should be easy. There will be an p650 bored out to a 800cc in March Dirt Wheels, let's see how that does.
Let the v-force be with you.

Diamond G Racing, has a Nikasil kit for the p650, 750cc with cams, give Don a call.
Mickey Dunlap has 750 with cams, also Mike Penland sells them, not sure if there Nikasil.
I believe both Don and Mickey have made 800cc out of the p650, Mickey has one in March DW mag.
May the V-force be with you!

The HP is only part of the equation. It is the TORQUE from this 700cc V-Twin that is going to make this thing Scoot. Combined with a trany that will put this motor into the meat of it's Torque curve from the hit of the throttle and you have a recipe for what should be one H*LL of a ride.
Just a point of interest:
The Service Manager at my local dealership attended a course dealing with the mechanical specifics of the KFX700 and was told by the Kawasaki Rep that it should make between 47 to 50 hp and 43 to 46 ft lbs of torque. He also had the opportunity to ride one, and said that it was Very Impressive.
I guess we will just have to sit back and wait, and let the V-Force 700 do the talking for itself.

The HP IS in the V Force. I mean 700 cc sled engines ( 2 stroke) are cranking out 123 hp stock. All of the big 4 sled makes have 4 stroke engines out due to the 2006 EPA issue. The sled companies know that after years of selling 2 strokes in the 120 to 140 hp range stock that NOBODY will be buying a new 2005 4 stroke sled that puts out a measly 50 hp!!!!!!!! Most of these guys now have stock 700 4 stroke sleds in the 100 hp range
The power IS there in the V. With aspiration and timing mods this bike should be able to put out 80-110 hp quite easy. Don't settle for less. !!!!!!
