Default Keihin jets.

Went to the local cycle shop and picked up a #145 jet for my 650. Tore my carbs out, took off the float bowl covers--------------WRONG DAMN JET!!!!!!!!! I have never had my jets out before so I didn't know what they looked like. Didn't know they made different kinds for the same brand of carb. Anyways, I went to the Honda shop here (closest bike shop) to see if they got a jet. No such luck, but Honda does have a jet for that carb and he can get it in a week. A WEEK!!!!!!!!! I got my carbs apart NOW!!! AAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

So now that I have to order parts, I ordered a 145 jet, a 148 jet (just in case), and new choke springs. Was so looking forward to installing my homemade snorkle, installing my jets, and roostin my Honda buddies bad I'm gonna go cry now.

Disregard my signature that states I have 142-145 jets. Right now I have 142-999 jets in my carbs, cause there's just a big hole where the jet should be----(sniff, sniff.)

I have my jets now I just have to find the time to do it. I did my muffler mod and my snorkle and put my black spring in. I have a vacation next week so maybe I can do it then. I also plan on taken my carbs right out of the machine since I striped one of the screws already. Good luck

The part number for the choke springs is 92081-1720. Make sure you order 2 cause they are for a 1994 KLR 650 bike that only has one carb. This part number was given to me by Alltoys, so thanks buddy!!

Oshawa, I'm gonna try it without shims first to see how it works. If I need shims, I can get those at Cambodian Tire or at a RC place.

I just put a softer piece of foam in my 650's seat while I watched the Daytona 260 (To help with the royds ha ha).

Has anyone tried the DynoJet Needles with stock jets? If so, what size?

Encore, I do believe someone was running the dynojet needles with the stock jets and had good luck. Can't remember who it was though.

Oshawa, so you got a case of the piles do ya!!! I feel for ya! I was considering getting some more foam in the seat as well. It's pretty cushy now, but it could be a bit better.

Keihin has used several different jets over the last 40 years. Ones I have messed with are short press in, long press in, short hex screw in, long hex, large round, and small round. You've gotta love it!
