Plastic fender trim on 650 KVF???...Junk!!!
#1
What is Kawasaki's problem, don't they know how to make plastic or have a supplier that can? Or maybe they never thought about testing there 650 in cooler temperatures like in Canada, There fender trim are delicate pieces of junk, or should I say, you should handle them like china dishes. You sure want to be careful how you touch them or look at them cause they just might break!!! Kawi must think these quads are driven by little old laddies that drive them around in there driveways and never take them offroad, although offroading is not always what breaks them. Don't you think Kawi should admit to there problem, then find something that will last and then warranty all the old ones that break???? Maybe they could start sourcing there fender trim from Yamaha or the supplier they use?? I think the quality should be a lot better for a $10,000.00 quad (CDN). HELLO Kawi are you listening??? The performance of this bike is GREAT!! But c'mon lets make the cosmetics last!
Am I the only one thats not satisfied with this fender trim? If there is any others? I would sure like to hear from you.

Oh quit your snivelin. Your $10 000 quad isn't meant to be ridden when it's colder than -1 out whats wrong with your brain. If you wanted a year round quad you shoulda got a...... well pretty much take your pick nobody elses plastic breaks when it gets cold out. LOL

Talk is cheap. But your RIGHT, I dont hear of the competitions plastic cracking like that. And its not the fact that it cracks but how easy it cracks... I mean c'mon I can understand that it can be abused but, in a lot of cases it cracks when there is absolutely, positively no way on earth it should CRACK!!!!!

The one we ride with has it's fender trim broken. The plastic just seems too thin. Other than that the bike has a lot of power and with sp700 tires on chrome rims they look sweet!! and handle a lot better too!

Its weird, I have a 02 P-650. I almost totalled it last Oct in a roll over(ten times). The new black plastic seems to be tougher than the old stuff. I have no proof, it just seems better. Haven't ripped it up yet, in 300 miles of winter woods riding. My other (original)plastic was shredded in about 500 miles!
