Default what a blast!!!

Just got the new prairie late yesterday and got home too late to do any riding (other than to load it in the back of the truck and man is that sliding rear glass soft. oooops.... live and learn i guess) Got to play out in the yard a little this morning, but it sure is cold (15 degrees). Wish i would have got one of these long ago cuz it sure is a blast to ride. How do you go thru break-in without doing atleast a little full throttle. Can't wait to hit some trails with this, bought it mainly for hunting but i think i just got addicted to it. i think the new tires are going to have to wait for a little while since it will cost $400 to replace the back window. if any one is thinking of a new quad i'd highly recommend the p650 you can't go wrong. Awesome machine!!!!!!!

Hey cvkp650

too bad about your truck...been there and done that!

You might want to do a search about the break in procedures. There are alot of people (including me) that broke it in the way that we will ride it. I started out giving it full throttle right after unloading it (of course after a warm up). It allows the rings and seals to seat better than babying it will.

anyway, enough of that. Have a great time with your new ride and be safe!

Is your Ranger a flairside or regularside box. I have a 1997 Ford Ranger Flairside and I'm picking up my new Camo P650 tomorrow from the dealer and I don't think it will fit in the back of my truck. I think it's about one inch too wide. For this reason I borrowed my buddies trailer. I can't wait to try her out. Oh yeah congratulation on the purchase. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

The ranger is a regular side. The 650 fits fine, except the tailgate won't close all the way (lacks by a few inches). If you put it in your ranger just becareful going over the wheel wells as it's a little tight. Once you get over them there's not much room left before you meet the back window. I've been getting it over the wheel wells then push it by hand until it's where i want it.
Conman,, i read alot of the posts about break-in and i think you guys are right, besides i just can't stay off the throttle it's just too much fun.Like someone else wrote "ride it like you stole it" and that sounds like a good way to break it in... thanx for the posts.

During break-in, it is possible to ride hard w/o harming the engine. Just keep your wide open throttle moments short, and enjoy all of that low end torque in between.

Break-in is also a good time to get to know your machine before testing it's limits.

Congrats on the new ride. Enjoy.
