i have a 02 p650 and am thinking about getting 27" mudrunners and a lift kit because i go mudding and ride in the snow alot. does anyone have these mudrunners and can give me thier opinion on them? also the front are 9" and the back are 12" this is alot more than stock will they fit on my stock rims and will they rub anything?

I have 26 inch mudrunners on stock rims. They are quite nice. The backs are ultra wide, and the fronts are a little narrow. this helps them still stay pretty fun on drypack. The fronts are only 22lbs. Helps do wheelies.

They grip mud really well. They are probably the best non full aggressive tire in the mud (not as good as mudzilla, vamps, outlaws), better than 589, claw, mudlite. The backs are so wide that they seriously push you through the snow or mud.

the downside to them is that the fronts are so narrow that they can dig down. they have excellent snow traction, but the fronts dig lower than the backs and can cause you to get hung.

They are a lot more expensive than they should be.

Ride is really smooth. Handling is excellent.

the 25" muddrunners are not deep snow tires. I run 28 IPT 589 in the snow and nothing can follow me in the deep snow including the mudzuls on a P650. The IPT 589 are great in the deep snow, I plowed through snow drifts higher than thw headlights with the 589s. I can not wait to get the muddrunners back on for the summer, ( and it's not just because I'm tired of the cold weather).

I am running 27" Mudrunners & am 100% happy with them. They are great in deep snow & a great all-around tire. There isn't any mud out here but I bet they would hold up real well in mud. I haven't noticed the 9" front tire width problems but I also am now using the Progressive Front Springs, which has made the front end more responsive over the stock non-adjustable struts.
The 27"ers will fit fine under the body.
Price wise, they have come down a little, just need to do some surfing to find a decent price. I paid $272 (4) for mine, last July, on Ebay.

Is the lift kit necessary with 27" mudrunners? I was also thinking on the same tire and also run in the mud alot but I wasn't going to get a lift kit. I'd like to get a 27" aftermarket tire on my 650's but I dont want the lift kit as I've heard it is hard on the CV joints.

you can run 27s and 28s without a lift.

The lift-kit is not needed with the 27" tires.
I had a high-lifter kit on my P650 & took it off, didn't like the odd-ball sounds coming from the front end in slow, crawling, off camber riding.

How big of a lift did you have for your Prairie???? Also how long did it take before you got the oddball sounds, and the sounds stopped when you took lift off? I'm curious as i really want a lift but i do not want to be overly hard on my machine. Diesel
