Default lights for lakota

i have a 2000 lakota and removed the racks and the lights. i still wanted lights though so i went to pep boy and bought 2 55W off-roading lights. will i beable to run these with the stock stator?

I'm not sure but I'm thinking it will be fine. I just replaced the bulbs on my daughters bayou 250 and they were 25 watt a piece. I'm not sure what the wattage on the 2000 lakota's are but I'm thinking probably the same.

But the lakota's come rigged with a remote light plug in, so the stator must have ample room for accessories rite, so two 55w bulbs should be just fine.

Out of curiousity, how do you like the lakota compared to your warrior?

I've been running a set of 55w lights plus the stock light on my '01 lakota for about 2 years with no problems.

antix, you should be fine. I did the exact same thing on my TrailBoss. I mounted 2 55w lights on the front bumper and i wired them to my high beam circuit. they are awesome!

the warrior has more low end power and wins everytime in a drag race. i like the manual clucth more that the auto. they handle about the same. the have about the same top speed. the only thing i like about the warrior over the lakota is the manual clutch. as for racing them they are prety much equal who ever gets the better start and doesn't mees up wins.

I've been thinking about adding a light (or lights) to the kota. If I recall, the dealer wants about $70 for the mojave center lighte hardware. How and where did you mount the lights? and what lights do you recommend? Did you try those zenon bulbs?

Any suggestions would be appriciated.
