I hope I made the right choice?

Well I did it, today I purchased a 2003 Kawasaki Prairie 650 in camo. I pick it up on friday. I ended up using a dealer two hours away because my local dealer is not known for customer service. I called and spoke to every dealer in the state and went with the one who was the nicest and cared about his customers the most not the one with the best price. I ended up paying $7186 OTD with tax and everything. I went between getting a sport quad and a utility quad for the longest time and ended up going with the prairie because it offers good features on both sides of the spectrum. I hope it gives me trouble free service with proper maintenence and care. Also I will be looking for riding buddies in the Northern part of Wisconsin. Later, Seth

Sounds like you made the right choice, the P650 is an awesome machine. I dont own one, and have only ridden one at the dealership, but....wow, that is a really nice quad. Lots of power and a great handling to go with it. That is the next quad that I want to get. Congrats on the purchase.

?
Of course you got the right quad. Stay tuned with us in this forum, the experienced guys can save you a lot of headaches.
The usual first things on the agenda for a new 650 owner are:
1. Loose the stock tires. They cause bad handling, are easy to pop, and aren't much good for traction.
2. Install black driven spring and check/tighten the belt. You first belt will last much longer. Very easy procedure to do.

Good choice on the quad and the dealer.
Sometimes the best deal on paper doesn't add up to the headaches and stress of a dealer who just doesn't care.
Enjoy and stay tuned to this forumn for the top knowledge on the best quad in the industry.
