Default 650 Electrical

I noticed on my new 650 that Kaw. has an aux. electrical port, what kind of draw will this allow. I was thinking about mounting a set of backup lights on the rear and was wondering if you all think this will power soemthing like that. Does anyone know that it is fused at or the max I can pull off of it? Heck, has anyone used it yet may be the question?
Thanks

If you are refering to the 12 V plug on the side I think it is 5 A.
I've heard of people replacing with 10 A to run small compressors and flood lights...
Check the draw on your lights.
U might have to run another route.

I used mine for a portable field sprayer, probably doesnt draw much, but some lower wattage lights should be OK on that plug. I would get a relay, and run them straight off the battery, and trigger the relay with a tap off of your reverse light. Thats what im going to do when summer rolls around.

im gonna need a terminal block for my bike if I put all the stuff im wanting to on it.

I was thinking more about the plug on the back of the bike (think it is under the fender). last night when I was looking at the manual I noticed something about an Aux Elec. plug there. Seems like Kaw. expected us to be putting on some add ons and left us a place to start wiring from. Not sure how good it is but seems like a great idea. It is running around -3 here in MI so I have not been to inclined to crawl under the bike and poke around yet
Thanks

Mine was wrapped up in a bag type thing with a zip tie around it and it was stuffed up in the harness pretty good, had to fish for it.

yes it is power but... I would hook it directly to you battery... it's safer to leave your elect wireing alone.
