Overall it is a good quad, fun to drive. I have had several Polaris automatic quads, it's nice to hit the throttle and go without shifting. But those belts are going to give some troubles over time. Just the nature of the beast. Belts get old and start to slip, or get wet and slip. For what i think Kawasaki built this quad for i think they have done a great job, now everybody wants it to be the king of drag racing, i don't think it's going to do that. But for trail riding and cutting up in the sand, it will be a fun ride.

 

Sorry to hurt your feelings, if being 225 pounds makes you a man then the world is full of them. But to refer to someone as a boy because Kawasaki made a tank instaed of a sports quad. sounds like your getting personal. In which case I would proudly Roost your big ole man driven 700 with my little Polaris 580. If you think about it, who is kawasaki trying to copy. Looks alot like a 500 scrambler with a big motor. I wouldn't get into a modded vs. modded race, way to many big bore rappy's out there, your never going to get close to those guys, clutches and shaft drive are going to get in the way. Why can't you just be proud of your new quad for what it is, not try to make it better than everything else. I like the v-force.

 

cyberseano it sounds to me like you are trying to take your lexus and all your toys make you a man. Anyone can go out and buy a toy but it is how they ride it. You are sure a lot of talk and i'm sure its just because you just spent a lot of money on something that you are going to sell in a couple years when you find out that you are the last one up the hill all the time. And for leaving more kfx 700's in stock, the only reason there are so many in stock is because nobody is willing to waste their money on something that isn't going to get them up a hill faster than their grandma's scooter. Kawasaki is so far behind in the sport world and they are just trying to catch up by putting a 700 in the market. Just because it says 700 doesn't mean that it is worth a crap. Its pretty bad that it takes all those toys to make you feel like a man. Bring your kfx anytime.

 

I just got back at looking at one, and yes Kawi did a nice job on this quad. This atv however is big and heavy, but it does have the power to move it. I talked to one of the owners that went to Florida to try it out, and all he could say is, this is the best and fastest atv out there right now. Then he goes and tell me he ran it on a track down there, and the 700 did great. But what concerned me, as he was talking about how much power the 700 has, he kept on saying that he had to lean forward a lot to keep the front end down. And with all the weight in the rear, it sounds like he had a tough time keeping the front end down. I think where going to hear a lot of people who will flip this atv over backwards, especially going up hill. And with the shaft rear end, you won't be able to put on a longer swing arm. I would not be suprised to hear of roll overs soon with this 700.

Wow Thats impressive! Weighing in at 245 lbs you would make a terrible jockey. You should cut back on the carbs a little[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]. All this in good fun. Im just going to have to see it to believe it that something thats only 40cc larger is really going to out perform by such a margin. Weighs more. Weird! Plus you weigh more. (I'm 170 lbs.) A raptor with a pipe, jets, air filter and box plugs, sprocket, skills and few others its a good competition. Like I said we shall see. I wish you the best of luck with your new TOY. Gentlemen.....I care nothing about the new 700's performance in stock form. Moded is where it is at. I figur I would take a cheap shot since things seemed "no-holds-barred". I hope it will be / is an awesome quad that is faster than we have offered too us at this point.

I finally saw a new 700 today...it was orange. Looked pretty nice. W/ the shaft drive, what's the ground clearance? I wouldn't mind having one for trail/dunes riding. What's the best price all ya'll have found.

 

I rode one the other day and YES they wheelie with ease. I am waiting on the Orange ones before I buy that is the one I want.

To answer your questions at the drags tonight the V-force won against a raptor.
They traded Quads and ran again but the thing is the V-force sort of has a swell of a hole shot, and top end is faster.
What kind of name is V-force one they can use in Europe too unlike the Raptor.

OK But I gotta say this I like the DS Baja 650 and it is heavy too and not top heavy like a Raptor.

Time will tell us what the other manufacturers have up their sleeves.....
