Default rear brakes on p650

I have a 2002 parire 650. If i park my bike for the week, with or without the rear brake
on, when i try to ride it the next day or week it is for the most part frozen on. When i ride
for about 30-45 mins it will unfreez but that means i have no rear brakes and some times
i have the same problem with the front brake. Most of the time my brakes are not frozen
on. ANY SUGGESTIONS?????????

This is not the rear brake, This is only the brake cable........You just have to put white grease in spray in the cable , a 2 minutes job and a 5.00$(Can) investment at Canadian Tire.................Make sure that you have the right oil in the differential too I saw some dealer who put 75w90 oil in the rear differential instead of mobil 424......

Try to keep your front brakes clear of snow and ice after a ride this time of year. I find that if you don't the front's will almost always be locked on and it takes a while to generate enough heat to melt the ice and free the brakes. I agree with Concours on the rear brakes, one of the advantages to the 650 are the sealed rear brakes which are protected from the elements. I have had problems with the rear brakes locking up however, and it's been due to snow and ice buildup on the rear adjusters at the housing. Clean these up after your next ride and it should help with your problems.

IF your brakes are on manually go under the rear of your ATV and pull it back so it's off don't just drive it until it frees by it's self. Also use your rear foot brake because that never freeze on me.
