Default (p650) exhuast mod ,twin air filter, snorkle NO IMPROVEMENT

thats right i spent 90 bucks on snorkle and air filter and the only thing ive gained is three mph on top end (64 to 67).i dont see how the snorckle gives more power when all it does is reaplace the stock one, mybe i put it in wrong. would apreciat some pics of how you guys have it in. when i did the exuast mode i still didnt notice any increas on bottom mid or top end.
do i need to rejet if so my elevation is at sea leval. If i jet will i then notic an increas on bottom.

Venom: Normally you'd want to rejet to notice a big difference. You are letting more air into and out of your combustion chamber so now you need to let more fuel in. But on the other hand if you are getting 67mph top end I'd have to say that is pretty damn good and leave well enough alone. With the mods you have done and getting that performance I cant see there being much more left to be gaioned by rejetting. If your machine was jetted rich which they usually are from the factory then by adding more air with the mods you might already be at the machines peak performance level.

Take #142 jet out of back carb put it in front carb,Buy #145 jet from dealer put in back carb. 3 turns on screws. You will be in good shape. (most of us run this setup) $5.00 well spent. Dont forget a new sharp screwdriver!

i bet i couldv gon faster but i ran out of room. when my uncle test drove one he said he got it up to 75mph he was going to buy that bike but the dealer $crewed him. dont get me wrong im pleasd with the top end it has given me but i need that grunt down low so i can beat the rapcraps in the sand. does anybody have any pics of how they got ther snorckle instaled. 67mph thats nice but i havent tested my top speed in a couple of months exept for that one. Its to dangerous to go that fast on a 4x4 and wasts a ton of gas

sgtrock, they snorckle i bought was from dimond g racing and i think it was shorter than tha stock one . I put it in the same exact place as the old one [right by the stering stem(i think that is what it is cald) it ends by that little removible peace where the radator cap is). how do all youguys post power gains when it does the same thing as the stock one its just metal instead of plastic.

It has a bigger opening that lets more air in. I just installed my snorkel last night and thought I was finished, but noticed that I didn't have the end of the snorkel pushed through that hole in the rubber. There is a rubber cover and it has a hole for the snorkel to fit through. I didn't have the hole in the rubber slipped over the end of the snorkel.

Prairievenom,
You should have gained at least %10 with your modds. What ever you do stay away from the DJ jets they are not the better way to go. You will have to adjust your air screws now that you running leaner also put some air holes in your air box with some sort of vent so they can be closed at your leisure. Not to long ago I posted almost %12 gains by doing the intake and exhaust, the exhaust is the biggy. Where the snorkle helps is when you do more the air box, try opening the little plastic cover in front of the quad where the radiator cap is located. Now go for another run.

Her's a thought, since he did gain top speed maybe he was rich on the stock main's, he sound's OK on the mains to me. but since he didn't have an increase on the bottom or mid, sound's like he is lean and flat there, richen the pilot screw's and put a small shim or washer under both stock needles, I wouls try 0.20-0.30 of an inch, thicker may be too much. It should help the bottom end and mid-range............
