Default question on a Prairie 400

I own a 98 Prairie 400, my question is, how do I go about getting alittle more power out of that engine without major modifications? Carb re-jetting? and one more question, has anyone out there gone up to 27 inch tires on that size ATV? I presently have 26 inch ITP Blackwaters on it but I am thinking about going one more size up to get more ground clearance, my concern is handling, I didn't notice a big difference changing from stock to 26 inch tires.

Default question on a Prairie 400

I have a 99 400 (my bro rides it). The engine has some pep in it, but without changing the springs the pep gets wasted.

We used a white spring from EPI (see my website for a few more details). It added a lot more get up and go from 0-30. He has 26" tire to and the wite spring makes it turn them a lot better in the mud and snow.

Get a K&N too.

Other than that, fourstroke tech has a 500cc kit, cams and probably more for the 400.

Put 25 or 26 muddrunners on it blackwaters don't like that bike from mine experience. The jet kit and K&N filter works good, you have to have it jetted properly. When I had mine I was locking down at 94km hour and from a dead stop it would bring the front up but not off the ground. The 27 will slow you down on the 400.
