Kodiak1:
Take his arm off! Your Kodiak is 2yrs old and the P650 new. And the fun factor of owning the most potent 4x4 you can buy, is enough to warrant the smack you take. Buy and be happy!

I am doing it.I thing $2300 to move up two years and to the 650 is not bad.I think I am getting the 650 for $6000.00 and $3700 for the yamaha.Hell I would jave taken 4000.00 selling it outright.if you figure sales tax only on the diff it's exactly the same.
Can someone direct me to nyrocs site?? I am not going to screw with the spring for now.if it becomes a problem I will.It seems I remember there being a problem getting the special lube for the rear end......is that still the case??? Also............when I started this thing cold I had to hold the throttle a bit.............anyone else??? The Kodiak was never cold natured.
Thanks

You are going to love that P650 I paid more difference
than that to go from a one year old 500HO to the P650.

In retrospect, I'd have to agree with everyone here and say get the black spring right away. It'll save your belt and you'll be much happier - especially with bigger/better tires.

The rear diff lube is Mobil 424. Kawasaki sells it under their Kawachem label. It's a bit spendy (about $5-6 per quart up here), but it beats the heck out of having drum brakes. The front diff can take whatever oil you're running in your engine (I stick with 10W40).

i just last week bought a 2003 LE Griz and the 2003 P650 (non Camo) was selling for 5499.00 plus tax. (no fees)
i guess that was a pretty fair price eh?
just thought id let ya know, i was not even trying to beat him down either.
it was just a price he shot at me while asking about the Rincon, P650 and Griz.
you may want to beat that guy up a bit on the 6 G's.

No bike is going to be without its problems, check out the other brand forums and you'll find similiar posts for them. Alot of nyroc's site is dedicated to performance mod how tos, some easy fixes for common problems and ways for improving your 650's life. I for one am greatful to have access to Nyroc's knowledge base and I think you will find it a invaluable source of info. Thanks Nyroc.

I did what you did. I got on the P-650 when I was buying my P-360 last year. Well it stuck in the back of my mind since then. I fought it for about 10 months but the desire finaly got to me. About a week ago I picked up my new P-650. I knew I was going to take a hit on the trade, but I had to do it. You will not regret it.
Now I have to decide which tires to get and which back seat err, rear trunk, to buy.

Good luck and go with your heart. You know what you want, go with it and don’t look back
