Well......How did the KFX700 perform (Hills & Trails)? Did you have paddles?

What's your opinion between the KFX400 and KFX700?

I'll be taking mine to Moses Lake for the break in next weekend than to Sand lake the following week.

Just a real quick run down.

The 700 will go up just about anything and I had no troubles getting up everything that I tried.

I have Douglas Aluminum rims, with Skat Trak Edge (V) paddles. I definately think that straight paddles would work better. I was spinning like a madman all the way up the hills. It was funny to look at the tracks. It was cutting deep enough into the sand to expose the damp darker sand for about the first 35 to 40 ft.

I personally like my 400 better in the sand. You definately notice the extra weight of the 700. The one advantage the 700 has over the 400 is the ride. Anyone that has ever been to Sand Lake, knows that there isn't one square foot of smooth sand there. The 700 seems to handle all the roughness better.

I will be posting a more detailed rundown in the next couple of days on a Thread titled "FIRST KFX700 RIDE IMPRESSIONS" in the Kawi section.

TechTip,
that was well said
(and creative,,,,you must of got some of that Humbolt county stuff)
but you left out the part about fat guys on Raptors,,,oh well

You have defenitely gotten my attention,,,and I am throwing (trying) horsepower at my raptor as we dream

Do you still have those paddles for borrow???

I really never expected you to ever want to be faster,,,,i figured you for one of those "back of the pack types" (Bighonda knows what im talkin bout j/k). You never even hinted at getting a new bike last time we rode. All of a sudden you were in Florence every weekend and now you got a green v-twin. Your nuts!! (but im happy to see it) You sand guys are crazy....Im sacred of ya.

honestly,,,,,i believe I may be humbled by the dunes and your new bike.

congrats

(nothin like asking a guy to borrow his tires then insulting him):

At least you asked for the tires before you insulted me. I kept the 400 for my girlfriend. She will probably be running the sand tires. I may be able to ask Mike D if he still has his haulers. I am going to by a new set for the BIG V.

As for the back of the pack... I was never content with being slow. I got tired of the work out I got when trying to keep up with you. And now the tables have turned. BigHonda seemed pretty impressed with the Green Monster on Sunday.

So did you go to the bike shop and ask for a bottle of horsepower?

Let me go to work and see what I can do for ya!
Can you get any of that crazy stuff you were packing?
