are the belt specs for the p650 on your page correct? just wondering because people keep telling me that tightened to factory spec is not tight enough and i didnt know if those on your page were the factory specs or tighter. another thing, what does the silver canister looking thing on the rear shock that has the air valve on it do exactly?

yes the specs on NYROC page are correct.

Also note... adjusting it tighter than spec will cause squeeling in neutral. I would recommend the low end of spec and nothing past spec.

I have mine adjusted to 25mm and it doesn't squeel one bit. Works fine turning 27" bi/tri claws with black spring.

As far as I know, that canister is the gas charge cylinder, full of nitrogen. It keeps the oil under pressure so it doesn't foam under heavy use, so you have contiunous damping (no fade).

It has a fill port, but you are not supposed to do anyting with it. A shock repair shop could refill it for you if it leaked out over time.

The big flat nut does have to come off. An air wrench works the best. NYROC's page shows some hints for getting the nut off if you don't have an air wrench. You also will need circlip pliers and a secondary clutch compressor. If you didn't know you needed all this stuff, your homework assignment is to read over the NYROC info relating to clutch removal.

Download the word document I made for a guy who needed a little more detailed explanation on how to do the belt shim adjustment.

http://www.gotmuddy.com/nemmeh/BeltShim.doc

Hope that helps, it should cover every single question you could possibly have.

It is rather large, 600kb in size. About 25 pictures in it.

Feel free anyone to download it or Nyroc to host it if you want. Just made it for guy who needed more indepth explanation.

Hehe... welp, hopefully some of you can still grab the document if you need it.

I let me domain lapse today so it's not working for me now. I need to grab the ip I guess and post it up that way. I just renewed my domain like 5 minutes ago..

As for putting pictures in word. Insert > Picture > From File

Or click on View > Toolbars > Picture

I threw that document together last night for a guy. Hope you find it helpful, I'm actually going to revise it some more and take a few more pics, then convert it into a Adobe Acrobat file. I'm not trying to compete with NYROC in anyway, so don't anyone flame me. I only did that document because someone asked for something more detailed. I'll have a new volume of it out in the next few days probably that is more cosmetically appealing.
