air mixture screws

Default air mixture screws

can anybody tell me how many turns out the air mixture screws are supposed to be on the p 650

Ussually between 2.75 and 3, just warm it up real good,with the quad idling turn in each screw (one at a time)until the motor starts to stumble,then back it off 1/2 turn.

Standard is 2 1/4 turns out. You can go from there depending on the average ambient for your area at the time and change it as needed.

We run ours at 2.75r & 2.5f. Elevation below 1000'.

Don't you need a gauge or something like that to make sure the carbs are in sink when you adjust the screws?????????

Default air mixture screws

We are referring to the pilot screws which don't effect the balance of the carbs, just the low speed mixture. There are two pilot screws, one on each carb on the right side when sitting on the bike. The carb synchronization screw is between the carbs on the left side.
