Default KFX 700 blew headlights - in the middle of nowhere!

Saturday night ... dark as hell ... middle of whoknowswhere ... twenty+ miles from camp
then *poof* no lights. Spent the next two hours creeping down the trails toward home.

Tail light still works.
Main fuse is OK (will check on meter)
Owners manual does not address any specific fuse for the lights

Does anyone have ideas?
It's under warranty, so I'm not too concerned.

Any ideas appreciated

didn't check the bulbs....duh - I will check. Do you think BOTH would have blown at the same time?

Checked both bulbs. They both seem to be good as new.
No water in the lenses.

I failed to mention that my ride was muddy, 6" deep water and so on.

This should not have been a factor.
