Default P650 Reverse light indicator

Hi all, while out on the trails yesterday, I got stuck and I mean stuck. The mighty Prairie couldn't even get herself out, (Human error?) After 45 minutes and one deep rut I had to call a buddy with a winch to pull me out. Question. After I got her back and all cleaned up, I noticed that the Red Reverse indicator light would not come on and it was in reverse. Is it just a little buld in there that I can replace? She will engage in Reverse but no light, Any thoughts.
(I'm getting a winch or is it a wench??)

The first thing I would do is to check the shift linkage. If it doesnt pull far enough back into reverse, the light wont come on. Thats an easy fix if thats the problem.

You probably tweaked the linkage slightly while shifting in the mud hole. If the machine isn't jumping out of reverse and, more importantly, not jumping out of low range, you could leave it as is. If the reverse light isn't on, you won't have to use your reverse override button any more. (A good thing) And you're correct: it's spelled" winch".

it could be a fuse or one of the wires isn't connected

Maybe isnt your problem, but mine was brand new and the reverse light didnt work. The bulb holder came loose under the cluster, might check there real quick before tearing into it.

Check on the side with the pull starter... there should be two "plugs" behind the black cover (if it is anything like the 360). One plug has a single green colored wire going to it and the other has a red/white wire going to it. The green wire/plug is on top near the back of the case and the red/white plug is located 90 degrees outboard of the other. The top one is the neutral switch and the outboard one is the reverse switch. I was trying to wire a backup light into mine and found out (after shorting the switch out) that the switches are a "ground" switch and have no power going to them and the bulbs have constant power. I ordered two new switches at around $5 each from Ron Ayers Motorsports. You may have pulled the red/white wire loose.
