I was just wondering how the swingarm and axle bearings hold up to all the mud and such and did anyone have to replace them yet. Thanks.

 

i do my fair share of muddin' and so far so good.

 

Mine have been good so far, I checked them out when I replaced the swingarm boot and they seemed fine.

I posted up instructions on doing that on NYROC's site if you ever need them.

I would suggest periodically checking your swingarm to make sure it isn't leaking and getting water in there.

If you unscrew the right/forward most bolt holding your skidplate on you can check. If water comes out, that is not good. Means you have a leak somewhere.

It's an 8mm bolt, forward most on the right when you are at the back of the 650.

I had a tear in my boot and had to replace it before it started tearing anything up.

I have a 650, have had it since August 1, 2001. Man I had a 650 before 650's were cool. I have a "few" mods, few being a relative term. I feel safe in saying that mine has seen as much or more mud than anyone else's 650 has. Gotmuddy is the official mud website [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img].
