I dont usually post much but i was out with a friend on his 700 sp and he said iINEVER GET STUCK so you know what usually happens when you say something like that, and he was stuck in the snow 3 times within 10 minutes so instead of riding the same ruts after pulling him out i went next to his ruts and no problem so he does it again in the same holes stuck again we both weigh the same so i guess it's the weight of his machine so so much for ground clearance and it doesn't take much of a rider to drive a staight line and pin it so thats not the problem and my neighbor has a grizz and he is kicking his a#@ for not buying a 650 after switching machines for a day and all buggy's are good when they are working, and i wish kawi had the looks of the grizz.

yg660 if you weigh 120 pounds or so mabey you still have 12 inches of ground clearance on that grizz.
but if you are near 200 sit on the bike and your clearance is the same as my 650(if I had stock tires)
The thing is my ground clearance does not change when my suspension is compressed like yours does.
The good thing is that your suspension tends to keep both tires on the ground but body roll is increased. My ride doesn't have as much roll but there are times that one rear tire can lift off the ground. Both good bikes but both have there own plusses and minuses

yg660, I don't know where in Canada you are, but the Prairie engines are not a problem around here or anywhere that I have heard of. Kawi650 said that his needs rings, but he has over 8,000 miles on it. Who do you know that has a 650 Prairie with an engine that failed? I'd like to hear from them on the forum.

YG660, if anyone has blown the engine on their 650, it would be from shear stupidity or abuse-----------or both. The V-twin has proven itself to be bombproof. Oh, by the way, my buddy has just under 100hp out of his 650 with no big bore kit. How much you think you can get out of that one lunger Yammie???

I'm not bashing the Grizz. I like it. It has a nice ride and pretty good power. I guess I'm just bashin you

Today at the quad rally i was at, the grizzly came in dead last in every beig bore event. Beleive it or not there was a a 650 quest with a pipe that beat the grizzlys in the races. The 700 polaris and the grizzly where close out of the hole but once they got going fast the 700 was faster. My 650 one the racing event for the big bores. Its not like this was only one grizzly either this is a 5 of them. 2 of them were souped up and they all had different sizes of tires from stock to 28 inch. In the pulls the grizzly did terrible. The 350 honda tied in the pulls. The grizzlys sat there and spinned. Most of 660's would not stay in diff lock when they were pulling that heavy load. My 650 never won this event but a 650 did win it. In the mud bogs we had to go through 1 to 2 feet of mud in the fastest time through and my 650 won that one to. The grizzlys did pretty good in this one but never won.And i live in canada and i hav never heard of the motors going in the 650. There a better motor then that one in ur cub. And i bet you any money if you took both those motors out the 650 vtwin would put out more power. This enigine is from a street bike and it is only putting out like half of what it can put out. Your motor in your grizz was from a racing quad. That raptor would not beat a vtwin street bike. You can more power out of a v twin then you can a one banger. And even if you think the 660 engine would put out better then the 650 Vtwin if they were both out of the quads what would that matter. Look at it this way, the 650 is more powerfull then the 660 and you can say what you want about the 650 but it will always be more powerfull then the grizz. I am not saying they are a bad quad in fact i love the look of them. I was thinking of buying one and i am glad i never did because the 650 has more *****. I admit a 650 kawi needs a lift as soon you get one. But today when my quad was side my with the grizz i was sitting the same hieght at the front end and i am higher at the floorboards. And as soon and you give those grizzlys gas or put weight on them you would be lucky if they have 8 inches of clearance.I rode with a grizzly with 26 inch out laws and he had to put it in low all the time. He was calling it a peice of sh*t. I asked him if he was happy with his tires and he said no because he doesn't have the power to turn them. I raced 5 grizzlys today and i was even taking them top end. Out of the hole it was not even a race. A quad that really surprized me today was that quest 650. The one that raced had a pipe on it and it was pretty fast. It had alot of kms on it and it burnt oil and it still was fast. Later dudes.
