Default 11:1 un-reliable?

I am seriously considering the 82mm 11:1 pistons from PBR for my 650. I am also going to get the modulator box. Will I be forced to run race gas, and will my reliability be shot? I dont mind the race gas(as much) but I want something reliable.

If it does make it unreliable, where can I get some stock compression overbore pistons?

With Race gas youll be fine,11:1 is a bit much for pump gas, especially with with all the timing the modulater will add.As long as you avoid detonation your reliability wont suffer much,(anytime you increase cyl pressure there is more stress on the motor, and more power usually has a way of encouraging a harder riding style that will also take its toll eventually)just run high enough octane race fuel and all will be well.Your bottom end power would be unreal!!

As long as it lets me turn my EDL's, I am happy. Could I get by with 92 octane and octane booster?

It might, but I kinda doubt it.The best way to go would be to start high on the octane rating and work your way down to find out how little you can get away with.AVOID DETONATION AT ALL COST!!
