does anyone know what the laws for atvs are in illinois, i was just wondering because there is one cop that like goes by my house every 4 or 5 min. while i am riding, but when im not, he hardly ever goes by. but anyway, if anyone knows it would be very helpful

 

Take it from me, a kid who has had several verbal and written warnings and finally a ticket. Stay on your property and they'll leave you alone, stroll on over to private property and Joe Blow reports you, your in trouble. Stroll onto the road, your nailed for millions of things including, no blinkers, no mirrors, no registered plates and if you have no registered stickers, you'll get it for that too.

 

I imagine the Illinois Department of Motor Vehicles would provide you information n ATV laws. A free booklet containing the information probably exists; VA posts its ATV regulations on the Internet (http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp...cod+46.2-915.1), maybe IL does also.
