Question for those who wear riding boots.

Hello I got a dumb question for those of you who wear riding boots. I just got my first pair of O'Neal riding boots in the mail. I originallly got a size 10, they were a little to big, I called them and they sent me a size 9. The 9's are tight. So my question is for all of you with experience with these kinds of boots is- do the boots typically loosen up much? Just didn't know if I should send the 10's back and hope the 9's will stretch out or not. Thanks DennisC

I would go with the larger boot and wear a little thicker sock if necessary. It really bugs me if my boots are tight. If you are a little loose, you can also bulk up on the socks for colder weather and leave a little ventilation room for warmer weather. My experience with newere boots is that they don't stretch out much. They are fairly ridgid. Possibly they can get you a 9EE wide width instead of narrow width boot. This may be the best of both worlds.
