Default Tire puncture: sidewall - can it be fixed?

Can a stock Dunlop on a 650 be patched if the pucnture is 1/8 inch straight through the sidewall?

I know on my race car I can not repair sidewall booboos, but I don't know if it the same for my ATV tires.

Thanks in advance!

Great! I assume my local dealer is the best place to get the leather plugs?

Your dealer or maybe a local autoparts store might carry them also. Welcome to the forum.

p.s. Just another thought. You might want to consider replacing that stock rubber or this probably won't be the last hole you repair.

and yes you can patch sidewalls, no problem. you will probably have to double or triple up the plug depending on how long the cut is.

If a plug won't stop the leak, you can always stick a tube in there....done it before with a Polaris (thank god that is gone!)

How about a patch on the inside?

you can do both. the stock radials on the raptors dont like the volcanic rocks here, and in one weekend, i had a sidewall patched in one front and a tube installed in the other. by the following weekend the holeshots were here. no more problems.
