I purchased a useed mongoose 50cc 2 stroke from a friend. The atv needed a stator according to him and had sat for quite some time without running. Through the process of getting it fixed, I have replaced the stator, flywheel and ignition coil. I have also cleaned the carb several times, and it is spotless. New gas and oil as well.
Since putting the carb back on, i cannot get it to start.
The engine starts to wind and the but will not fire. According to the repair manul, i checked the copmression, which was fine, and the spark plug. I am getting plenty of spark, but the plug is wet. I have read other threads about adjusting the needle, but this thing does not have a set of notches or clip on the needle. there is also no choke on this model which os a 2004, just electric start or kick. Please help

I think it has a electric choke and it's choking out.
Apply full throttle and try to start. Keep throttle on till it starts and cleans out.

Now, if your plug is wet, its not going to start, or its really gonna have a hard time too start. period! The question is, how long did you crank on that bad boy to get the plug wet??? Is it something that happened only after a few cranks, or something that occured after a 10-15min crank period? Your choke on it might be crap. Its an auto choke, and they go to crap very often, usually in the "on" position which pretty much floods the bike when not needed. You did a compression check? Whats the psi reading? As mentioned by LT80 also, try to give it a little throttle while cranking, but heres the catch. You have to listen to the bike while cranking. Does it sound like its trying to catch??? Or does it sound like nothing changes? Lets start there

Ok since you took off your carb it sounds like you might have moved your float. Flooding out the motor. Have you checked out your float level? This maybe your problem if that model does not come out with a choke. I bet like they said electric. Have you tried starting with the filter off? Try either one of these.
