I am working with a company in Tiawan that wants to produce a quality race quad. Here is the specs that I ask to make into the machine. The thing that is a problem is "What will people pay for a quality, good almost race ready quad?"
1. Mini Banshee Plastic
2. Water Cooled 90 engine
3. 24mm Carb
4. High mounted airbox
5. dual A-Arms
6. +5" travel
7. Race Pipe
8. Foot operated Hydralic disc
Is there other requirements you think I should push for?

It needs too be WIDE. No minis offered now is wide enough. Wider is more stable and safer as well. Check with a member of ours that goes by "fourlix".....he has basically made a mini for his kid and would have plenty of suggestions.

 

If it is a shifter I would go 10,000 but would like a quality ignition system and quality shocks with resivors and completly adjustable rebound and compression with at least 8 inches of travel. If it is a automatic I personally would not be interested.

 

If you make it that race worthy ($10k)....few will be sold and the company will flounder IMO.

 

I was just stating what I would pay and what I would expect for that money , I was just describing the quad that Iam now building which at 10,000 would be less than what the finish project will cost me.

Do I think they will build something like the quad I described ? I would bet not, just from the reason you stated . But if they do I would like to be in line to purchase one.

i would recomend wider and longer and jus a lil bit higher. i like riding minis for fun sometimes. maybe step it up to a 32mm carb and jet it. maybe a modified airbox from the factory. i dunno jus make it a lil bigger lol.

 

Oh Yeh, Don't forget to make it 180lbs or less wet.
