I haven't mess with the 450 yet, but I've got a cannondale which is efi too. First off are you giving it gas when you go to restart it? If so don't giving it gas could file the plug. If that is not the issue you might want to take it back to you dealer and have them adjust the mapping on it sounds like it might need to advance the sparking some. When you take it back warm it up and get it do the problem to show tha dealer exactly what it is doing and then have them adjust it. For more info on this you may even want to contact the efi software people that wrote the program for it. Hope I helped and let us know what you do to fix it.

hello
i was looking at the pictures in dirtwheels july 2003 issue on page 162 . whats up with the lame headlight switch that has a horn button and turn signal switch built in . those are some options i could use on the trails . i could honk the horn at the slow moving trees and signal to go around them . could they not design a better switch on thier own and not borrow one from a street bike . whats up with that ....

jmrpage- the quad is street legal in most of the countries that it is sold in, but not here in the US. to sell the quad here they had to remove the turn signals. it uses the same switch assembly as is found on ducati street bikes( sure they could have designed thier own, but why keep reinventing the wheel?), and all the functions on it can be used if you merely put turn signals back on the quad. while the functions may be useless to you, they are completely realistic for a street ridden quad.
i've already removed the switch assembly, lights, horn, lighting system wire harness, and will see if i like the way it is without the alternator magnets on the flywheel on my next ride....
